What is the function of the Motherboard Standoffs?

The Motherboard Standoffs raises the Motherboard off the back of the case so that the exposed metal never touches the bare connections on the back of the Motherboard.

Doing so would short out the components.

The 9 holes on the Motherboard are the ground connections.

This is your empty Case.

You have installed 8 Motherboard Standoffs.

The Center Standoff is for aligning the Motherboard.

Gently lay down the Motherboard and push sideways until the middle hole goes through the Center Standoff.

Use your #2 Phillips Screwdriver to fasten the 8 Motherboard Screws.

The magnetic tip will come in handy. Do not over tighten the screws.

Do not lose any screws! Any screws left inside the case can potentially short circuit your Motherboard!

Check to make sure that all your rear connectors align up properly with the Input/Output Shield openings.

You have completed installing the Motherboard.
