Identify Widget

 
Refresh the Web Application.
 
The Application initializes with two open widgets:
 
 
Close both of them.
 
 
Zoom in closer until you can see the Parcel Boundaries.
 
 
Open the Identify Widget.
 
 
 
 
Click to activate the Point tool.
 
Add a point inside any Parcel that you wish to Identify.
 
 
The identified Parcel is highlighted in orange.
 
The results panel show the main Parcel Attributes:
 
 
 
In addition, you get a list of Web Links that take you to the Assessor, Treasurer and Maricopa County Recorder’s Website.
 
Hover your mouse over the Result.
 
The corresponding parcel is shown with a blue outline.
 
A Popup window appears showing the complete list of Parcel Attributes.
 
 
Scroll down to see the full list of Parcel Attributes.
 
Notice that your Popup window is partially obstructing the Parcel.
 
How would you see the entire parcel?
 
Open the Popup Panel Widget
 
 
The contents from the Popup window are transferred to the Popup Panel on the right.
 
 
This gives you a clear view of the identified Parcel.
 
Click on the Assessor Web Link.
 
 
This opens a new window showing details of your Identified Parcel on the Assessor Web Site.
 
 
Press Clear to clear the results.
 
 
This takes you back to the Identify Tab.
 
 
You can draw a shape to identify more than one parcel.
 
Click to activate the Extent Tool.
Draw a rectangle to select two parcels.
 
 
Two Parcels are selected. They are drawn with an orange highlight.
 
 
Hover your mouse over the first record.
 
The corresponding parcel is drawn with a blue outline.
 
 
Hover your mouse over the second record.
 
The corresponding parcel is drawn with a blue outline.
 
The Popup Panel updates to show the attributes of the second parcel.
 
 
Press Clear.
 
You can use the Identify Widget to identify other data layers in the Web App.
 
Click on the down arrow and select the Zip Code layer.
 
 
Using the Extent Tool, draw a rectangle.
 
 
Click on the Result.
 
 
The map zooms to Zip Code 85007.
 
 
The identified Zip Code is shown with an orange highlight.
 
To view the neighboring Zip Codes, turn on the Zip Code layer in the Layer List Widget.
 
 
Expand the Zip Code Layer Group.
 
Expand the Zip Code Layer to view the symbolization of this layer.
 
  
Expand the Zip Code Layer Menu and select Enable pop-up
 
 
Close the Layer List Widget.
 
Click on any Zip Code.
 
The selected Zip Code is drawn with a blue outline.
 
The attributes of the selected Zip Code is shown in the Popup Panel.
 
 
This is another way to identify any data layer without using the Identify Widget.
